I was thinking about Msgr. Bellow’s homily on Sunday—better to go out and squander your gifts, make mistakes and return home repenting, than to hoard your gifts in stinginess, fear or self-centeredness (that’s my memory, not his exact words). That reminded me of a couple of great quotes (below) from the Pope.
